1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account Registration: Name, email address, password, professional details (such as title, field of practice, specialization, education background, and experience).
Educator & Mentor Information: Profile details, credentials, biography, certifications, and publicly displayed professional information.
Content Creation & Uploads: Videos, screen recordings, webcam recordings, presentations, documents, quizzes, assignments, and other instructional materials uploaded by educators or mentors.
AI-Assisted Inputs: Prompts, outlines, text inputs, or curriculum-related information submitted when using AI-powered course creation or curriculum generation features.
Payment Information: Billing address and payment method details (processed securely through third-party payment providers; IMPACTED does not store full payment card details).
Communications: Messages, emails, support requests, feedback, and survey responses.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and approximate location.
- Platform Activity & Log Data: Pages viewed, time spent, clicks, scroll activity, feature usage (including AI tools), and interactions with content.
- Cookies & Tracking Technologies: Session cookies, analytics cookies, and similar technologies used to enable functionality, analyze usage, and improve user experience.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
Payment & Affiliate Partners: Transaction confirmations, subscription status, and anonymized performance metrics.
Professional Verification Sources: Public registries, licensing bodies, references, or professional databases used to validate educator or mentor credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve educational content, mentorship, and community features
- Enable course creation, including screen recording, webcam recording, and AI-assisted curriculum tools
- Process payments, subscriptions, and revenue sharing
- Verify educator credentials for quality assurance and accreditation purposes
- Communicate important updates, platform notifications, and service announcements
- Provide technical support and respond to inquiries
- Analyze usage to improve platform performance and user experience
- Enforce our Terms & Conditions and Contributor Agreements
- Protect against fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, or security threats
2.1 Webcam and Screen Recording Use
Webcam recordings and screen recordings created by educators on the Platform are collected and processed solely for the purpose of course creation, content delivery, and platform functionality as explicitly initiated by the educator. IMPACTED does not access, monitor, analyze, reuse, distribute, or process such recordings for any secondary, commercial, surveillance, or undisclosed purposes. Recordings are stored securely and made available only in accordance with the educator’s publishing choices, applicable agreements, and this Privacy Policy.
3. AI-Enabled Features
IMPACTED offers AI-powered tools to assist educators with curriculum planning, content structuring, and learning design.
- AI tools process user-provided inputs solely to generate requested outputs
- Inputs may be temporarily stored to improve functionality, accuracy, and system performance
- AI-generated content remains under the control of the educator, who is responsible for reviewing, editing, and publishing it
- IMPACTED does not claim ownership of educator-generated content created using AI tools
- AI features are provided as assistive tools, not replacements for professional judgment.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: hosting, analytics, payment processing, video hosting, AI infrastructure, and communication tools
- Educators & Mentors: student names, enrollment status, progress, and engagement data for instructional purposes
- Affiliates: anonymized or aggregated performance reports
- Legal & Compliance: where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or government request
- Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Educators may retain access to their content and analytics while their account remains active.
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies for authentication, security, analytics, and personalization. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function properly.

8. Security of Your Information
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption and access controls. However, no online system is completely secure; users are responsible for protecting their login credentials.
9. Privacy for Students & Viewers
Student progress and interactions may be shared with educators for instructional use. Recording or reproduction of course content without permission is strictly prohibited. Student profiles (name, title, credentials, photo) are otherwise publicly visible.
10. Privacy for Educators & Contributors
Educator profiles (name, title, credentials, photo) are publicly visible. Uploaded content is hosted and distributed under the Contributor Agreement. Revenue and payout data remain confidential.
11. Community and Interaction & Data
IMPACTED provides community features, including discussion forums, groups, messaging, comments, and peer interactions, to support collaborative and social learning. When users participate in these community features, we may collect and process information such as profile details, posts, comments, messages, reactions, participation history, and interaction metadata.
Community content is visible to other registered users in accordance with the Platform’s privacy and visibility settings. Users are responsible for the information they choose to share within community spaces. IMPACTED does not monitor private messages beyond what is necessary to maintain platform functionality, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and enforce community guidelines.
Community data is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve collaborative learning experiences, support moderation and safety, facilitate mentorship and peer engagement, and provide analytics related to participation and engagement. Such data is not sold or used for advertising purposes.
Users may edit or delete their community contributions where permitted by the Platform. Certain data may be retained as required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of platform policies.
12. Children’s Privacy
IMPACTED is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If such data is identified, it will be deleted promptly.
13. International Data Transfers
If you access IMPACTED outside British Columbia or Canada, your data may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws. We apply reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
